Collective worship is an important part of school life at Trinity. It gives pupils and staff time to pause, reflect, listen, pray and consider how our values are lived out in everyday life.

Worship explores themes including hope, forgiveness, courage, justice, gratitude, service and belonging. It also gives our community shared moments to celebrate, remember and reflect together.

Prayer and reflection spaces provide opportunities for pupils and staff to pause, think or pray during the school day. Our inclusive approach recognises the different faith backgrounds and worldviews within the Trinity community.

Our chaplaincy work offers spiritual and pastoral support to the Trinity family. Pupils and staff can access opportunities for reflection, prayer, conversation and support.

This forms part of our wider care for the whole person. We want pupils to know that their development matters academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.

Spiritual development is part of every pupil’s growth, whether or not they have a religious faith. At Trinity, pupils are encouraged to explore questions of meaning, purpose, belonging, hope and their place in the world.

Opportunities for reflection can arise through worship, lessons, art, music, nature, discussion, silence, service, relationships and moments of challenge or joy.

Our Christian vision is not simply something we talk about. It is something we seek to live.

Faith in action can be seen through service, charity work, community outreach, worship leadership and social action. These experiences encourage pupils to think about justice, compassion and responsibility.

Pupil Faith Team

Pupils have opportunities to take an active role in the Christian life of Trinity through the Pupil Faith Team, supporting worship, outreach, charity work and courageous advocacy.

Church and community partnerships

Our relationships with local churches, parish partners and community organisations support worship, chaplaincy, seasonal celebrations, outreach and opportunities for pupils to connect faith with service.

Our Christian ethos supports pupils to develop character and consider the contribution they can make to the world around them.

Pupils are encouraged to show kindness, courage, responsibility, honesty, resilience and respect. Through courageous advocacy, they are encouraged to consider what is right, understand how their choices affect others and respond thoughtfully where they see need or injustice.

Religious Education helps pupils explore Christianity, other world faiths and worldviews, alongside questions of belief, philosophy, ethics and meaning.

As a Church of England school, pupils develop their understanding of Christianity while learning respectfully about different faiths and perspectives. Across the wider curriculum, pupils are encouraged to consider dignity, justice, community, responsibility, diversity and the common good.
