Welcome to the Primary Phase at Trinity Church of England School, Lewisham.
Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision, and I am delighted that you are considering Trinity. Our vision is to help pupils “live life in all its fullness” (John 10:10), and this sits at the heart of everything we do.
Children typically begin their Trinity journey with us at the age of four. We take these important early years seriously, creating a Primary experience that is warm, nurturing and ambitious. We want children to feel safe, happy and known, while developing the confidence and curiosity to learn and grow.
From the earliest years, we place a strong emphasis on communication, reading, writing, mathematics and rich learning experiences. Alongside these foundations, children are encouraged to develop character, independence, kindness and a strong sense of belonging.
As a Church of England school, we are proudly inclusive and welcoming to families of all faiths and none. Our Christian vision and values shape a community where children are valued as individuals, encouraged to care for others and supported to discover their strengths.
One of Trinity’s distinctive strengths is the journey we can offer from Reception to Year 11. Children can begin their education within our Primary family and continue growing within one school community, building confidence, relationships, character and ambition over time.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child into the Trinity family and sharing the beginning of their journey with you.

This week, Year 2 had a very special visitor... Samuel Pepys! Samuel Pepys made a fantastic entrance into the classroom before taking part in some hot-seating with the children. The children had a wonderful time interviewing him about his experiences during the Great Fire of London and asking lots of thoughtful questions about what he saw, heard and felt. Our different Samuel Pepyses did a brilliant job, giving lengthy, fact-filled answers and sharing everything they have learnt about the events of the fire. It was a fun way for the children to deepen their historical knowledge while also gathering lots of ideas and vocabulary to support their literacy work this week.
