Opportunities to try something new, discover interests, build friendships and grow in confidence.
At Trinity Primary, learning does not stop at the classroom door.
Pupils have opportunities to take part in clubs, sport, trips, worship, leadership, service and wider experiences that help them grow in confidence and character.
These experiences are an important part of school life, giving children opportunities to discover new interests, develop skills and contribute to the Trinity community.
Beyond the classroom: wider opportunities help pupils build confidence, friendships, responsibility and a stronger sense of belonging.
What pupils can experience
Opportunities develop as children move through Primary, giving pupils different ways to participate in the wider life of the school.
Clubs and activities
Termly clubs give pupils opportunities to try new activities, learn new skills and spend time with other children who share similar interests.
The clubs available can change during the year, giving pupils different opportunities as they move through Primary.
Sport and physical activity
Through PE, sport and wider physical activities, pupils develop teamwork, confidence, communication and perseverance.
Children are encouraged to enjoy being active, support one another and develop positive habits that can continue beyond school.
Trips, visits and experiences
Trips, visits and special experiences help pupils connect their learning with real places, people and ideas.
These experiences also give children opportunities to develop curiosity, confidence and independence beyond the classroom.
Faith and service
As a Church of England school, pupils have opportunities to take part in worship, prayer, seasonal celebrations and activities that encourage them to think about others and serve their community.
These experiences help pupils develop responsibility, compassion and an understanding of how they can make a positive difference.
Leadership and character
Children are encouraged to take responsibility, show kindness, grow in independence and contribute positively to school life.
Wider opportunities give pupils different ways to develop confidence, character and responsibility as they grow through Primary.
Current Primary clubs
Our clubs change during the year. The latest club information is shared with families each term and shows which clubs are available, which year groups can take part, dates, times and how to sign up.
We recommend checking the current information each term, as activities, places and timings may change.
Opportunities for every pupil
We want pupils to be able to take part in the wider life of Trinity.
If your child would like to join an opportunity and you have a question about access, cost, timings or support, please contact the Primary office.
We will talk with families about what may be needed and how pupils can be supported to participate where possible.
Growing through experience
Wider experiences complement what children learn in the classroom.
Trying something unfamiliar, visiting a new place, taking responsibility, working as part of a team or discovering a new interest can all help children understand more about themselves and the world around them.
As pupils move through Trinity Primary, we want them to become increasingly curious, confident, caring and ready to embrace new opportunities.
