    Head of Primary

Welcome to Trinity Primary. Our Primary Phase is a warm and purposeful place where children are known, cared for and encouraged to grow. We want every child to feel safe, happy and confident as they begin each day, and we work closely with families to make sure pupils feel supported from the very start.

In Reception and across Primary, we focus on strong relationships, clear routines and rich learning experiences. Children are encouraged to be curious, kind and independent, while building the foundations they need in reading, writing, mathematics, communication and personal development.

As Head of Primary and Head of Year 7, I am also proud of the way Trinity supports children through each stage of their journey. We help pupils grow in confidence throughout Primary and prepare carefully for the move into Secondary, so that transition feels joined up, reassuring and ambitious.

We look forward to welcoming you to Trinity Primary and sharing more about the community, care and learning that shape everyday life here.

Welcome to the Primary Phase at Trinity Church of England School, Lewisham.

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision, and I am delighted that you are considering Trinity. Our vision is to help pupils “live life in all its fullness” (John 10:10), and this sits at the heart of everything we do.

Children typically begin their Trinity journey with us at the age of four. We take these important early years seriously, creating a Primary experience that is warm, nurturing and ambitious. We want children to feel safe, happy and known, while developing the confidence and curiosity to learn and grow.

From the earliest years, we place a strong emphasis on communication, reading, writing, mathematics and rich learning experiences. Alongside these foundations, children are encouraged to develop character, independence, kindness and a strong sense of belonging.

As a Church of England school, we are proudly inclusive and welcoming to families of all faiths and none. Our Christian vision and values shape a community where children are valued as individuals, encouraged to care for others and supported to discover their strengths.

One of Trinity’s distinctive strengths is the journey we can offer from Reception to Year 11. Children can begin their education within our Primary family and continue growing within one school community, building confidence, relationships, character and ambition over time.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child into the Trinity family and sharing the beginning of their journey with you.
