Opportunities to discover interests, build friendships, develop confidence and play an active part in Trinity life.
Secondary school is about more than lessons and examinations. It is also a time for pupils to discover what interests them, try new experiences and develop greater confidence and independence.
At Trinity, pupils are encouraged to take part in clubs, trips, sport, leadership, House activities, community life and wider experiences throughout their journey from Year 7 to Year 11.
Take part, try something new: wider opportunities help pupils discover strengths, build relationships, develop character and contribute to the Trinity community.

Clubs and activities
Clubs give pupils opportunities to meet others, develop existing interests and try something different.
Our programme changes during the year and may include subject based, creative, sporting, practical and enrichment activities, depending on pupil interest, staff availability and the school calendar.
Trips and experiences
Trips and visits can bring learning to life, introduce pupils to new places and experiences, and help them make connections between classroom learning and the wider world.
Opportunities may connect with curriculum subjects, careers, faith, culture, sport, the arts, personal development or community life.
Sport and physical activity
Sport and physical activity give pupils opportunities to develop teamwork, communication, confidence, discipline and resilience.
Across the year, pupils may have opportunities to represent Trinity through teams, fixtures, competitions and physical challenges. Participation and perseverance matter alongside competition and achievement.
Houses and school community
Every pupil belongs to a House, creating a smaller community within the wider Trinity family.
House activities can include competitions, challenges, charity work, sport, debates, creative activities and whole school events. Pupils contribute through participation, effort, achievement and the way they contribute to school life.
Opportunities to lead
Pupils are encouraged not only to take part in Trinity life, but to help shape it.
Leadership gives pupils meaningful responsibility and opportunities to develop confidence, communication, empathy and service.
Different roles enable pupils to represent others, support younger pupils and contribute ideas about school life.
Trinity Voice
Trinity Voice gives pupils an opportunity to share feedback and ideas from their Family Groups and contribute to conversations about life at Trinity.
It helps pupils understand that their views matter and that they can contribute constructively to their school community.
Buddies and peer support
Buddies help younger pupils settle into Secondary school and feel welcomed into the Trinity community.
Peer Mentors provide younger pupils with additional academic and social encouragement while giving older pupils meaningful responsibility and an opportunity to support others.
Pupil leadership
Leadership opportunities help pupils develop responsibility, confidence and communication while contributing to the wider life of Trinity.
Roles can include Head Pupils, Prefects and other pupil leadership responsibilities through which pupils represent the school, support events and serve the wider community.
Faith, service and community
Our Christian vision encourages pupils to think beyond themselves and consider the contribution they can make to others.
Through community outreach, charity activity, worship, leadership and courageous advocacy, pupils can explore questions of compassion, responsibility and justice while putting Trinity’s values into action.
These opportunities help pupils understand that leadership is not simply about having a title. It is also about serving others and using their strengths to make a positive difference.
Growing through experience
Clubs, trips, Houses, leadership, sport and community involvement all contribute to pupils’ wider personal development.
These experiences can help pupils build friendships, become more independent, work with different people, discover new interests and develop greater confidence in themselves.
From Year 7 to Year 11, we want pupils to become increasingly confident, capable and ready to embrace the opportunities that come next.
